Get your creative minds at the ready

I have a thing about before and afters. Especially if it involves a room re-design or a revamped piece of furniture etc...... It always gets my pulse going!

I've wasted a good few hours of my time over the past few weeks looking through multiple websites that feature some great re-designs such as Design Sponge, Apartment Therapy and some blogs from some fabulous women who seem to spend all their time revamping, and so well worth it!!

I'd like to join the awesome before and after club.

But......

First of all I need some advice.

The other day Mother Bee scored me this old picture frame for £5 at one of those grotty auctions but which do some great stuff for really cheap aka a dining room table and 4 chairs for £10! Puts Ikea to shame.

So here is the frame.....

It already has quite a nice shabby chic thing going on which is a style that I LOVE. However, from my endless hours (ok, so I admit my 'few' hours over the past few weeks is more like a LOT of hours) I have seen so many cool ideas of what Im thinking of for my revamp.

Let me lead you into my world of thinking,

First. I love this gallery wall look.....You know, maybe I could put some of my own art and photography up, some postcards from travels, pictures of general things that I like etc etc.....

But then I saw this from Elle's blog and the colours made me a little weak!

And after further investigation I found this absolute beauty of a snapshot from a housetour.....You gotta appreciate that yellow!

And thennnn, I found this before and after on Design Sponge which I adore beyond belief! Anyone have any old keys they fancy donating my way?!!

Now, what I need a bit of help on is deciding on the colour for my revamp.
My thoughts are with A. that awesome turquoise, B. a bright sunshiny yellow or C. a pretty purple? Send your votes (and keys) my way please!!!!

Now to help the process along I have created these pictures with the colour swatches on them (I know my photoshop skills need a little brushing up, not quite what they were in my Alevel days. Not sure my old photography teacher would be impressed, however that is not the point!!)

Get Voting. Please let me know which one gets you the most. Facebook me if your a friend or leave me a message if your just a follower. VERY much appreciated.

Task 2 will be the multiple inside ideas but we'll get to that later! x

Tyrannosaurus Rex

A few weeks ago I went on a little cultural trip to London to the Natural History Museum.

Now some of you may laugh. However, I get to take awesome pictures like this.....

The main reason for the trip was to see the Wildlife photographer of the year competition and let me tell you it was A.MAZE.ING.
I feel beyond inspired and would LOVE to be as talented (and have the will power to stand in soggy streams and freezing cold fields for hours and days on end) as these people. WAHOOOO!

If you can go to see it then it is HIGHLY recommended, or just browse online here

A few of my favourites include.....

And now let me unveil my own wildlife photos, drumroll please. Let's actually not hype this up too much I fear you may be dissapointed. A few cheeky action shots for you!

I will enter it one year I promise. It is on my 'bucket list' (it's a looonng one) along with having my art/photography in a gallery one day.

Wish me luck!
