Nail news

GIRLS ..... listen up if you are anything like me. You will love this!

If you have a spare half an hour to do your nails tonight and fancy doing something different and totally awesome then this is for you!

I stumbled upon this method totally by accident (winking smiley)........

I was enjoying the late evening sunshine the other day, with a drink in hand my nails freshly painted and reading the newspaper.
As a fly dive-bombed into my drink I could only think of saving it so in I went with my fresh nails to save him. He made a hasty get away no harm done.
But then as a gust of wind came through it caught the corner of the newspaper sticking it to my alchol soaked nail!
*Disaster* I hear you cry!

No!

In fact a total revelation to nail design!

(No flies were harmed in the massive fabrication of this story! But the technique is 100% legit)

Get yourself a base coat colour, I think nudes and pastel colours will probably work best for this.
So paint your nails and leave until they are completely dry then go and raid your alcohol storage.
Get yourself about an inch of alchol preferably vodka or gin, which is what I used, into a small glass.
Also get some newspaper prepared and cut it into nail shaped pieces just larger than your nails.

So once your nails are painted and dried, soak each of your nails in the alcohol for about a minute then as soon as you take it out press one of the newspaper cut outs onto it.
Make sure it is fully pressed down all over the nail. Then remove. TA DAAAAA!

Once you've done all your nails just go over with another coat, preferably clear just to seal it and you are done!
Awesome no?!

Enjoy
Oh and please I beg of you don't be put off by my unexplainably bad cuticles and shoddy workmanship. I was just so excited for the show and tell on here!

My new friend

Now if you have read my blog since the very beginning you may remember that I said I was coveting a certain something (read about it here)

Well. That day finally arrived last week and there is now a new member of the Bee family!

I love him. But he doesn't have a name yet. Maybe I will go with one of the original names I suggested; Roland or Jeremiah. Or maybe Winston, that's always a family favourite.

Oh and check out the awesomeness of the detail on his little purple cheeks. . . . . . .

Squirrels!!
