Our greatest team- POW!

I've been watching and indulging in the Olympics like you wouldn't believe. I am addicted to it all. Everyday it is on our TV all day. When I'm not at work I'm glued, when I'm at work I get it on the laptop and when I finish work I can't get home fast enough to get back to it like a honeymoon faze lover.

I am a full Olympics geek and very proud of it!

My pride and admiration for every single member of Team GB is beyond anything I've experienced before!
We have so many new and incredible role models and at 23 I am already past being able to become a World's best athlete but that hasn't stopped me feeling inspired and wishing I could become a cyclist or a rower!

I went to watch the torch relay which really started off my excitement. I watched every second of the opening ceremony and was beyond lost for awesome amazement at The Queen acting! "Good evening Mr Bond" LEGEND, I love her!

I've been emotional, screaming at the TV and spending all my evenings trying to get some of the elusive tickets to actually go and watch- even to get into the Olympic park, wear my Team GB t-shirt, wave a flag and soak up the atmosphere- but they remain elusive!
I was actually lucky enough to be invited by a bestest friend to the first day of the rowing at Eton Dorney which was really fun, an amazing day, great weather, great atmosphere but it was only the early heats so it wasn't quite so tense and exciting as the last few days of finals have been.

My highlights for Team GB have been Jessica Ennis winning gold in the heptathlon. She is one hell of a role model and as the face of the Olympics had so much pressure on her but she won it in style and had the whole country screaming.
With the Adidas slogan 'Take the stage' hanging over her, it is now "Stage taken"!
 

 
My other highlight was Andy Murray beating Federer in the singles final. He just stormed his way through the match and I knew I would cry if he won! So he wins and then climbs up into his team's box- it was just too good! His attitude and whole aura has completely changed over the past year- even since Wimbledon 4 weeks ago and I love it! He deserved to win the gold more than anyone!!

But it's not just about Team GB- Michael Phelps is just beyond anything and anyone and he also has a really great down to earth attitude which is amazing to see in someone who has won 22 Olympic medals!!
Usain Bolt winning the mens 100metre final was legendary.
South African swimmer Chad Le Clos winning gold in the 200metre butterfly against Phelps but even more so his dad Bert is a legend! (Give him a youtube!)

Sexy surf

Surfing is something that I really dig in a guy- along with guitar skills and hilarity!

As a big lover of sea, sunsets and sunbathing, Summer always brings about images of surfers, ray-bans, boardies, beach-hair and beers and along with the images of surfer boys is the super sexiness of it!

But when a super sexy girl slips through the net and gets on her board it just makes me mega envious! How sexy is it for girls to surf?! Maybe it's because it's more of a novelty when you look out and catch a girl riding the waves like a pro or because I don't live near a beach that when I go away for the Summer it's pretty cool to see a girl amongst all the guys.

Pretty much what I'm saying is that I desperately wish I could surf and along with it have the beachy wave hair, fierceness, attitude and body of those girls! - but if all of that fails I'll just find me a cute surfer boy instead!

High life on the high line

Somewhere that I have just read about and would love to go to is the High Line. Sadly it's in New York but it is now on my bucket list and I will definitely make a trip if / when! I next go there!

It is basically a park built on an old freight line that used to run between 1934 and 1980. It runs between Gansevoort Street to West 34th Street on Manhattan's West Side where it was originally used to transport meat to the meat packing district, carry industrial goods and mail.

It has been designed with areas of plants, grass and wooden planks to create the walkways. You can go for picnics- sadly no dogs or ball games are allowed but they do have food stalls which sell gelato, hot dogs and other treats of the Yum variety!

They hold a lot of events there including dance lessons, arty classes for kids and stargazing (amazing) and you can also enquire to hold your own private party- YES PLEASE!

It looks like such a beautiful, well designed and styled piece of calm within such a crazy, busy, noisy city. I would love to go for a wander and a picnic with extra pimms.
Anyone been there? Is it as dreamy as it looks?

I don't often fall for guys. I've been single for . . . . . a while now (no comment!)
I'm very VERY picky with men which is always a real debate amongst friends.

Is it better to be with a guy, have fun, have free dinners and drinks on him- cos let's be honest that's how it works for the first few dates, and how it shall remain forever- he's not perfect but he's ok, it's nice to have a boyfriend but you don't see a future with him type
Or do you stick with your real picky vibes and refuse to settle for any man less than a *Super-amazing-sexy-charming-fucking hilarious-rainbow-sparkle-God*?

This is where I'm at. I'm totally team *He rocks my world-makes me pee my pants laughing-ultimate sex god-can surf and play the guitar-and takes me for Friday night cocktails-piece of hot* I'm not gonna settle.

But I will settle for my man crush. He's a 30-something, trilby wearing, rugged American by the name of Joshua Radin.
He has been the one for a couple of years now and I wanted to share the love with you.

Oh yeah, you just go ahead and smoulder on that carousel Joshua.

My favourite song of his is 'You got what I need'- you may find it a little too mellowed out but it's great. His new album is out end of July and then he'll be back on tour baby!

His music is pretty mellow, folksy, acoustic guitar, chilled out, husky voiced tuneage which I love! He's the type of guy that Instagram was made for- all rustic, nostalgic and makes a Starbucks coffee cup look like the coolest shit ever.

Instagram should hire this dude asap- You see he's all black and white scooter, sepia shadows in the sun, moody Colloseum clouds, type of a guy.

He's definitely the type of guy you'd want to wander around Europe with, eating gelatto and getting matching tattoos.

I've seen him live twice in London- the first time dragged my sister as my date, the second time she wasn't so reluctant and next time she'll bloody love it!
The last time we went was October 2011. I was feeling pretty eager, like I LOVE this dude, and he had his nipples on show through his top all night so I had to stick around to get a close-up view.
We got all super-eager-groupie on his ass and waited by the stage door for about an hour- sister was surprisingly willing!
I got that excited nervous feeling you get when you see/meet a proper celeb like Suri Cruise or Romeo Beckham- then I saw his nipples walking towards me.

We autographed, we photographed, he told my sister, Charlie, that his bassist had written a song about a girl he didn't know called Charlie. . . . . .and maybe she was her! (It clearly isn't.)
I promised to follow it up and get her hooked up with him. I googled. . . . . He's no Joshua Radin.

Can almost see his nips.
